Edgar, Gloucester's loyal son who disguises himself as "Poor Tom" in King Lear

This repository is named for Edgar, the loyal son of the Earl of Gloucester in Shakespeare's King Lear. Falsely accused of plotting against his father by his scheming half-brother Edmund, Edgar flees and disguises himself as "Poor Tom," a raving, half-naked Bedlam beggar. The identity is synthetic but convincing, built from nothing. It lets him survive unseen while he stays close to his father and the exiled king.

Overview

Private. Synthetic Cordelia-schema sample-data generators: the demo databases behind antonio's example reports, and the machinery that builds them. Moved out of antonio wholesale (2026-08-06) since none of this is customer-facing; antonio itself stays focused on the report scripts and getting-started docs a Cordelia user actually wants. Originally spun out as a git/GitHub repo (data_generators), recreated here as edgar on Fossil (2026-08-07) to match the rest of the private sibling family. See CLAUDE.md's "Renamed from data_generators" note.

Version: 1.2.0

Technology: Python (stdlib only)

Dependencies

None for the five generators. Stdlib-only Python with no sibling build dependency. Schema fidelity is validated by hand against ../cordelia's source (see CLAUDE.md's schema-drift warning), not any programmatic dependency. src/sync_better_labels_lookup.py is the one exception: a maintenance-only script (not part of the generator pipeline) that reads ../cordelia/src/core/i18n/better_labels_lookup.json directly and needs a sibling ../cordelia checkout to run.
