Reporting in Full with details
kent details reports everything
kent info does, plus the tables it leaves out and the
database file's own attributes.
It is read-only, and writes nothing to the database it opens.
Synopsis
kent details <dbfilename>
Every table is listed
That includes the roughly 125 tables that are empty until activities are imported.
kent info omits those; this is the command that shows them. A populated and
empty summary is printed beneath the table.
sqlite_sequence appears in the list. It is SQLite's own bookkeeping table
for AUTOINCREMENT columns rather than part of Cordelia's schema, but it is
genuinely a table in the file, so it is reported rather than hidden. It gains rows once
activities are imported.
The file's own attributes
Two are reported: size in bytes with a human-readable equivalent, and last-modified time
in your local timezone. If either cannot be read, it shows as unavailable and
the rest of the report is still produced, because the table data comes from the database itself and
is unaffected.
Two attributes you might expect are deliberately absent:
- Creation time is not exposed portably by the C++ standard library.
Rather than pass last-modified off as a creation date,
kent detailsreports only what it can name honestly. - Owner requires POSIX-specific calls that have no Windows equivalent,
and
ls -lalready answers it on the platforms where it exists.
Shared behavior with info
Schema-version reporting, the refusal of databases older than this build, and the
guarantee that a missing path is not created all behave exactly as they do for
kent info.
Example
Against a freshly created database. The listing is abridged here; all 129 tables are printed:
